Jammu and Kashmir Rifles Honor Fallen Heroes with Solemn Wreath Laying Ceremony
JABALPUR, MAY 12, 2026 :- The Jammu and Kashmir Rifles Regimental Centre organized a solemn wreath-laying ceremony to pay tribute to eight brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
The ceremony honored Rifleman Suresh Kumar, Rifleman Dev Raj, Naib Subedar Man Chand, Havildar Hans Raj, Rifleman Khem Raj, Rifleman Harmesh Chand, Rifleman Jagdeep Singh, and Rifleman Rajeshwar Singh.
These personnel, belonging to the Tivra Tehra and Bodyguard units, laid down their lives during Operation Orchid in 1981 and Operation Rakshak in 1993.
By gathering to remember their courage and dedication, the Regiment reinforced its commitment to the legacy of these soldiers, ensuring that their selfless service to the nation continues to inspire future generations of infantrymen.
