Promoted Officers Decorated During Piping Ceremony at SKPA Udhampur
UDHAMPUR, May 8, 2026:- A ceremonial piping function took place at the Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy in Udhampur to celebrate the promotion of several police personnel.
During the event, Shiv Kumar Sharma, DIG of the Udhampur-Reasi Range and Incharge Director of the academy, formally decorated the officers with their new ranks. Those elevated to the rank of Sub-Inspector included Rajinder Singh, Tariq Ahmed, and Sanjeev Kumar, while Balbir Singh, Ashok Kumar, Bhupinder Kumar, and Rakesh Kumar were promoted to Assistant Sub-Inspector.
While congratulating the officers, Shiv Kumar emphasized that these promotions serve as a recognition of professional competence and dedication. He noted that higher ranks bring increased responsibilities and new challenges, urging the officers to approach their updated roles with integrity and enthusiasm.
