Senior JKAS Officers Honored with Warm Send Off Following Retirement

JAMMU, April 30, 2026 — A grand farewell ceremony was organized today to honor the retirement of two senior Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service officers, Naresh Kumar and Kartar Singh.

Naresh Kumar, who served as Joint Director of Hospitality and Protocol in Jammu, and Kartar Singh, the Additional Secretary of the Rural Development Department, were accorded an affectionate adieu by their colleagues.

The event was attended by senior officers from the 2004 batch of the Civil, Police, and Accounts services, including the Director of Industries Jammu, the Director of Education Jammu, and the Director of Hospitality and Protocol.

During the ceremony, speakers highlighted the significant contributions both officers made throughout their various postings, including roles as SDM, BDO, and Joint Directors.

Their dedication to the welfare and development of the people in Jammu and the wider region was highly commended, with specific praise directed toward their work in the Revenue Department and the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.

Colleagues noted that their illustrious careers, spanning more than twenty years, will serve as a guiding inspiration for younger officers entering the service. To mark the occasion and show respect for their years of dedicated service, the retiring officers were presented with commemorative mementos.
