NACIN officers undergo maritime training onboard ICGS Shaunak
CHENNAI, June 20, 2026 — A group of 60 officers from the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics underwent specialized training onboard the Indian Coast Guard Ship Shaunak on June 19, 2026. This initiative was designed to strengthen inter-agency cooperation and boost overall maritime preparedness.
The intensive training session focused on several key maritime operations, including search and rescue missions, pollution response, and maritime law enforcement.
The program also covered critical aspects of coastal security, ultimately enhancing maritime domain awareness and fostering closer operational synergy between the agencies.
