Indian Army contingent participates in opening ceremony of exercise Khaan Quest 2026 in Mongolia
ULAANBAATAR, June 20, 2026 — The Indian Army contingent today participated in the opening ceremony of the multilateral exercise Khaan Quest 2026 at the Five Hills Training Area in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
Scheduled to run from June 20 to July 3, 2026, the international military exercise features the participation of over 1,000 troops from 18 countries across the globe.The ceremony was officially inaugurated by Mongolian Minister of Defence Batlut Damba and Chief of Defence Staff of the Mongolian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Ganbyamba Sunrev, with Ambassador of India to Mongolia Atul Malhari Gotsurve also in attendance.
By participating in this joint exercise, the Indian Army reiterates its steadfast commitment to global peace, stability, and international cooperation, while continuing to play an active and constructive role in advancing United Nations peacekeeping efforts worldwide.
