Srinagar to host zonal cooperative review workshop in June
JAMMU, APRIL 28, 2026:-Commissioner Secretary of the Cooperative Department Yasha Mudgal led a high-level preparatory meeting today to evaluate arrangements for the upcoming Zonal Review Workshop.
Scheduled to take place in Srinagar from June 24 to 26, 2026, the event is being organized by the Union Ministry for Cooperation. The meeting included participation from the Special Secretary of Cooperatives, the Joint Registrar for Audit in Kashmir, and other senior departmental officials who provided a comprehensive overview of the event framework, thematic sessions, and expected outcomes.
Mudgal received updates on the current status of preparations, including selected venues and the appointment of nodal officers for various functional areas. She emphasized the necessity for detailed planning and coordinated management regarding the arrival, stay, and departure of delegates.
Stressing the importance of professional execution, she noted that all conference proceedings must be handled seamlessly to accommodate senior officers from the Union Ministry and departmental heads from various states and union territories.
The Commissioner Secretary also reviewed protocol and liaison mechanisms, highlighting the need for effective communication with federal authorities and participating regions.
She directed staff to ensure robust facilitation measures and meticulous advance planning for transport, accommodation, and hospitality. Mudgal underlined that maintaining high standards of logistical support is essential for the convenience of all participants during the three-day event.
In her concluding remarks, Mudgal focused on venue readiness and the finalization of infrastructure according to established norms. She called for strong inter-departmental synergy and continuous monitoring to address any potential challenges.
By developing contingency plans and fostering close coordination among various agencies, the department aims to ensure the successful and smooth conduct of the workshop in Srinagar.
