Udhampur Police Host Farewell for Outgoing DIG Sarah Rizvi and SSP Amod Ashok Nagpure
UDHAMPUR, April 04, 2026: District Police Udhampur organized a heartfelt farewell ceremony at the District Police Lines (DPL) to honor outgoing DIG U-R Range Sarah Rizvi and SSP Udhampur Amod Ashok Nagpure following their recent transfers.
Sarah Rizvi, an IPS officer, transitions to her new role as IGP Crime, while Amod Ashok Nagpure, also an IPS officer, takes over as SSP Anantnag. The event saw a large gathering of senior police personnel, including Additional SP Sandeep Bhat, who joined together to recognize the professional excellence and “people-friendly policing” that defined the tenures of both officers in the district.
During the ceremony, Sarah Rizvi expressed her deep appreciation for the unwavering support and cooperation extended by the district staff, while Amod Ashok Nagpure credited the success of his term to the seamless teamwork across all ranks.
Senior officials highlighted the duo’s significant contributions to local security and administrative discipline, wishing them success in their future assignments.
Additionally, the department bid a warm adieu to Senior PO Darshan Singh, transferred to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), and PO Avinash, transferred to Mahore, Reasi.
The program concluded with the formal felicitation of the officers and a vote of thanks, marking the end of a dedicated chapter for the Udhampur police leadership.
