CDS General Anil Chauhan Reviews Chinar Corps Operational Readiness; Stresses Multi-Domain Warfare Integration

SRINAGAR, April 04, 2026: Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan conducted a high-level review of the security landscape and operational posture in North Kashmir during a visit to the strategically vital Chinar Corps on Saturday.

While visiting front-line areas along the Line of Control (LoC) and Baramulla, the CDS was briefed on the infusion of modern technology and future force applications within the formation.

Commending the troops for their “exemplary operational preparedness” and “resolute professionalism,” General Chauhan emphasized that the changing character of conflict requires the Indian Armed Forces to evolve from traditional domain-centric strategies to a sophisticated Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) framework.

He highlighted that achieving decisive outcomes in modern combat is now entirely dependent on the seamless integration of Land, Air, Maritime, Cyber, Space, and Cognitive domains.

In a comprehensive address to the officers, General Chauhan outlined a strategic roadmap for the future, calling for accelerated joint training and the harmonization of military doctrines. He stressed that “jointness” must become a way of life for all ranks to ensure interoperable command structures and synchronized effects across all spheres of warfare.

Beyond military readiness, the CDS underscored the importance of a “Whole of a Nation” effort, urging for a unified warfighting philosophy anchored in foresight and technological adaptation.

During his visit, he also engaged with civil administration representatives and local eminent personalities in Baramulla, reviewing ongoing initiatives toward nation-building and ensuring a collaborative approach to regional stability and security.
