SSP Amod Ashok Nagpure Briefs 55 New Sub-Inspectors on Security and Policing in Udhampur
UDHAMPUR, APRIL 02: Following the successful completion of their initial nine-month probation in the Kashmir Zone, a fresh batch of 55 Probationary Sub-Inspectors (PSIs) has officially reported to District Udhampur to commence the next phase of their training within the Jammu Zone.
To mark their arrival, SSP Udhampur Amod Ashok Nagpure–IPS chaired a comprehensive introductory session at the District Police Lines (DPL), where he officially welcomed the officers into the district’s operational fold.
The SSP provided a detailed orientation on the region’s prevailing security dynamics, demographic sensitivities, and current militancy trends, ensuring the new recruits are well-prepared for the complexities of the local landscape.
During the meeting, SSP Nagpure placed heavy emphasis on the “public-first” philosophy of the J&K Police, instructing the probationers to balance empathy with authority by being polite to citizens and firm against criminals.
He stressed that transparency, integrity, and accountability must remain the cornerstones of their service. Furthermore, the SSP highlighted the critical importance of mastering advanced investigation techniques and maintaining meticulous case files to ensure the fair and timely delivery of justice.
The session concluded with an interactive exchange, providing the young officers with a clear roadmap for tackling upcoming law-and-order challenges and managing crime trends effectively within the district.
