LG Manoj Sinha Appoints Alka Sharma to J&K Rehabilitation Scheme
JAMMU, April 2: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today handed over an official appointment letter to Alka Sharma, wife of Martyr Sub-Inspector Deepak Sharma, under the Jammu and Kashmir Rehabilitation Assistance Scheme 2022.
During the meeting, the Lieutenant Governor expressed his profound condolences and assured the bereaved family of the government’s unwavering assistance and continued support.
Deepak Sharma, a dedicated member of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty in 2024.
He was Martyred during a high-stakes encounter in Kathua, where he displayed exceptional courage while successfully neutralizing a most-wanted gangster. This appointment serves as part of the administration’s commitment to honoring the legacy of security personnel who lose their lives in service to the nation.
