JK News: Addl. SP Katra Vipan Chandran Transferred to J&K Anti-Corruption Bureau
Srinagar, April 02: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday ordered the immediate shifting of a high-ranking police officer to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) as part of a fresh reshuffle.
According to an official order issued by the Home Department (No. 199-Home of 2026), Vipan Chandran, a 2008-batch JKPS officer currently serving as Additional Superintendent of Police (Addl. SP) Katra, has been moved to the Anti-Corruption Bureau.
The transfer, effective immediately, is being handled on a deputation basis under the standard terms of the J&K Civil Service Regulations.
The order, sanctioned by the Lieutenant Governor, was signed by Principal Secretary Chandraker Bharti.This move follows a series of departmental shifts aimed at streamlining law enforcement and anti-graft operations across the Union Territory.
