DC Udhampur Inspects Developmental Projects During Extensive Tour of Sub-Division Chenani
UDHAMPUR, MARCH 31, 2026 — Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Minga Sherpa, conducted an extensive field visit across the far-flung regions of Sub-Division Chenani today to evaluate the progress of key developmental projects and the implementation of various flagship government schemes.
The tour covered several remote areas, including Sudhmahadev, Mantalai, Latti, and Dudu, where the DC closely monitored the functioning of essential public institutions. During the visit, he inspected the SDM and BDO offices, local Community Health Centers, and Government Higher Secondary Schools, while also taking the time to pay obeisance at the historic Sudhmahadev Temple and review the facilities at the International Yoga Centre in Mantalai.
Throughout the inspection, Deputy Commissioner Sherpa emphasized the importance of efficient, doorstep-level governance and directed departmental heads to maximize the reach of centrally sponsored schemes through localized awareness camps.
Stressing the necessity of punctuality and accountability among government staff, he noted that timely attendance is non-negotiable for effective service delivery.
By engaging directly with both officials and the public in these rural hubs, the DC reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to ensuring that developmental benefits and essential services effectively reach the residents of the district’s most mountainous terrains.
