Leh Public Outreach: “Jung-sJabs” Programme Delivers Essential Government Services to Sakti Village
LEH | March 30, 2026:- In a significant move to bridge the gap between the administration and the community, the “Jung-sJabs” public outreach programme was successfully conducted today at Sakti village within the Kharu Sub-Division of Leh.
Organized under the direct guidance of the Worthy Deputy Commissioner, the initiative was designed to bring a comprehensive suite of government welfare services directly to the doorsteps of rural residents.
A wide array of departments collaborated to provide immediate, on-the-spot assistance, covering critical needs such as revenue and Aadhaar card services, banking facilities, and registration for various social welfare schemes.
Furthermore, specialized counters were set up to assist local farmers and livestock owners with agriculture, horticulture, and animal and sheep husbandry services.
The event was closely monitored by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Kharu, Mohd Shabir, who personally assessed the efficiency of service delivery throughout the day.
Beyond oversight, the SDM engaged in direct dialogue with the villagers, creating a transparent platform for residents to share feedback and voice local grievances.
By integrating multiple administrative functions into a single, accessible event, the “Jung-sJabs” initiative underscores the district’s commitment to responsive governance and the empowerment of remote communities through streamlined public service access.
