Indian Army Empowers Ladakh Youth with Motor Skills Camp at Nimu

NIMU, LADAKH March 29,2026 :- In a significant move toward regional empowerment, the Fire and Fury Corps of the Indian Army organized a comprehensive Motor Skills Camp at Nimu Village.

Part of the ongoing Operation Sadbhavana, the initiative was specifically designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical technical expertise for the local youth and women of Ladakh.

The camp provided a structured environment where participants moved beyond textbooks to engage in hands-on learning. The curriculum focused on essential motor skills, vehicle mechanics, and rigorous safety protocols.

By offering direct familiarization with technical equipment, the program aimed to boost the practical aptitude and technical awareness of the attendees, effectively making them more competitive in the modern job market.

Beyond technical training, the Indian Army integrated career counseling into the program. Interactive sessions were held to highlight various pathways within technical trades, encouraging participants to view skill-based professions as viable and ambitious career goals.

The enthusiastic turnout from both young men and women underscores a growing desire in the Ladakh region for specialized training that leads to sustainable employability and self-reliance.
