Elite Combat Divers Graduate from High-Altitude Training Camp in Munnar
MUNNAR, March 28, 2026 — In a display of extreme physical grit and technical expertise, the High-Altitude Diving Training Camp successfully concluded today at the Mattupetty Reservoir.
The intensive program resulted in the graduation of 63 battle-ready trainees, including elite divers from friendly foreign nations such as Myanmar, Mauritius, and Seychelles.
These warriors are now specialized in the complex disciplines of high-altitude air and pure oxygen diving, mastering the physiological challenges of operating under sub-atmospheric pressure in mountainous terrain.
Throughout the duration of the camp, participants underwent rigorous training focused on offensive underwater operations and advanced mixed-gas procedures designed to enhance their tactical edge.
The curriculum emphasized the precision required for deep-water missions where standard equipment and biological responses differ significantly from sea-level conditions.
The training reached its peak with a grueling Endurance Triathlon, featuring a run, fin swim, and free swim.
Flagged off by Captain Mohammed Ikram, Officer-in-Charge of the Diving School, the final exercise served as a testament to the trainees’ peak physical conditioning and their readiness to deploy in the most demanding environments across the globe.
