Indian Army’s Chinar Corps Conducts Multi-Specialty Medical and Eye Surgery Camp in Tangdhar
Srinagar, Mar 27: Under the humanitarian umbrella of Operation Sadbhavna, the Chinar Corps of the Indian Army successfully concluded a comprehensive four-day medical outreach programme today at the Forward Surgical Centre, 328 Field Hospital in Tangdhar.
Spanning from March 24 to 27, the initiative addressed critical healthcare gaps in the remote border region through a specialized Eye Camp, where 22 local residents underwent successful vision-restoring cataract surgeries.
By providing these essential surgical interventions in a forward area, the Army has significantly enhanced the quality of life for elderly and vulnerable members of the community who often face geographic barriers to specialized ophthalmic care.
In addition to the surgical camp, the Chinar Warriors organized an integrated Medical and Dental Camp, offering professional consultations, diagnostic evaluations, and preventive healthcare advice to a large number of local civilians.
To further bolster the region’s healthcare infrastructure, a Blood Donation Camp was held simultaneously, featuring voluntary participation from Army personnel. The collected blood units were handed over to the Sub District Hospital, Kupwara, ensuring a vital supply for emergency medical needs in the district.
This multi-faceted mission underscores the Indian Army’s enduring commitment to the welfare of the people of Kashmir, blending military precision with a deep-seated spirit of humanitarian service and regional resilience.
