Samba Police Host Successful Kabaddi Tournament at GHSS Rajpura Under Civic Action Programme
Samba, Mar 27: Strengthening the bond between the law enforcement and the local community, the Samba Police successfully concluded a high-energy Kabaddi tournament today at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Rajpura.
Organized under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2025-2026, the event was held within the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal and featured intense competition between four premier teams from across the district.
The tournament drew a massive crowd of local spectators, highlighting the police department’s commitment to promoting sports and healthy lifestyle choices among the youth while fostering a spirit of sportsmanship in the border regions.
The championship reached its peak during a thrilling final match between the Sujana Kabaddi team and the Rajpura Kabaddi team. After an exciting and closely contested battle of strength and agility, the Sujana team emerged as the undisputed champions.
Following the match, senior officials, including DySP Hqrs Samba, SHO PS Ghagwal, and the Incharge of Police Post Rajpura, presented trophies to both the winners and the runners-up.
This initiative by the Samba Police serves as a key component of their ongoing community outreach, aiming to engage the younger generation in constructive activities and build a foundation of mutual trust between the public and the police force.
