Exercise Poorvi Garjan: Indian Army’s Spear Corps Showcases High-Tech Combat Readiness in Arunachal Pradesh
Arunachal Pradesh, Mar 27: In a significant display of territorial defense and technological integration, the Spear Gunners of the Indian Army’s Spear Corps successfully concluded a week-long intensive military drill, Exercise Poorvi Garjan, in the rugged terrains of Arunachal Pradesh.
The exercise was designed to test and refine the synergy between traditional artillery power and cutting-edge modern warfare technology. By focusing on high-altitude operations, the drill emphasized the Army’s “Atmanirbhar Bharat” (Self-Reliant India) initiative, putting a spotlight on the deployment and performance of indigenously developed New Generation Equipment under challenging environmental conditions.
The week-long operation featured a seamless integration of diverse battlefield assets, including advanced aviation platforms, Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS), and sophisticated Counter-UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) technologies.
This multi-dimensional approach allowed the Spear Gunners to practice real-time target acquisition and precision strikes while simultaneously neutralizing simulated aerial threats.
By merging electronic warfare capabilities with heavy firepower, Exercise Poorvi Garjan has effectively demonstrated the Indian Army’s enhanced situational awareness and its lethal capability to protect the nation’s eastern borders against evolving modern threats.
