JKBOSE Advises Class 12 Students to Prioritize JEE Mains; Assures Rescheduled Practical Exams

JAMMU, March 26, 2026 — The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has issued a vital advisory for Class 12 students, urging them to prioritize their participation in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains in the event of any scheduling conflicts with the Board’s practical examinations.

With the JEE Mains scheduled to take place from April 2 to April 9, 2026, the Board acknowledged that some candidates might face overlapping dates between the national-level entrance test and their local practical assessments. To ensure that students do not miss out on critical career opportunities, JKBOSE has formally exhorted aspirants to skip the conflicting Board practicals in favor of the JEE.

To facilitate this transition without academic penalty, the Board has established a clear protocol for affected students to request a reschedule. Candidates facing such clashes are required to intimate the Board via email at jsexamsjd.jkbose@jk.gov.in on or before April 10, 2026.

Applicants must provide detailed particulars, including their full name, examination roll number, the name of their allotted examination center, the specific subject affected, and the original date of the conflicting practical examination. This data will allow the authorities to compile an accurate list of students requiring an alternative assessment window.

Reaffirming its commitment to student welfare and academic success, JKBOSE stated that a revised practical date sheet for all affected candidates will be notified separately following the conclusion of the JEE examination period.

The Board’s proactive stance aims to minimize stress for young aspirants during this high-stakes testing season, ensuring they can focus entirely on their competitive goals.

While wishing the JEE candidates the very best for their upcoming exams, the Board reiterated its resolve to provide every possible logistical support to ensure no student is disadvantaged by the administrative schedule.
