GDC Kakryal Hosts Poster Competition to Promote Constitutional Values Among Students

REASI | March 25, 2026Government Degree College (GDC) Kakryal, Katra, successfully organized a vibrant poster-making competition today to celebrate and instill a deep awareness of constitutional values among its student body.

Held under the guidance of Principal Rajni Bhagat, the event saw enthusiastic participation from students across various semesters who utilized their artistic talents to illustrate the core pillars of the Indian Republic.

The entries featured thought-provoking depictions of fundamental rights and duties, secularism, democracy, and the rule of law, effectively highlighting how these foundational ideals remain vital in modern society.

The competition was coordinated by Amreen and Bindu Rajput, who encouraged the participants to move beyond textbooks and engage with the living spirit of the Constitution.

A distinguished panel of judges, including Usha Sharma and Somalya Dogra, evaluated the artwork based on originality, clarity of message, and creative execution.

In a closely contested event, Sneha and Nisha from Semester VI clinched the first position, while Tania and Nanika, both from Semester II, secured the second and third positions, respectively.

The faculty members in attendance, including Manisha, Shikha Bhasin, and Ishfaq, praised the high quality of the submissions.Principal Rajni Bhagat commended the organizing committee and the students for their innovative expressions of patriotism and civic duty.

She noted that such platforms are essential for helping students reflect on their roles and responsibilities as informed citizens of a growing nation.

By bridging the gap between academic theory and creative practice, the event successfully fostered a stronger sense of national identity and democratic responsibility among the youth of Reasi.
