Rahul Dravid and KSCA Leadership Visit HQ Training Command to Strengthen Cricketing Ties

BENGALURU – March 24, 2026The Indian Air Force’s HQ Training Command recently hosted a high-profile delegation from the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), marking a significant milestone in the collaboration between the military and the sporting world.

The visit featured distinguished guests including KSCA Honorary President and former Indian pacer Venkatesh Prasad, Honorary Secretary Santosh Menon, and the legendary former Indian captain and coach, Rahul Dravid.

The delegation called on Air Marshal S Shrinivas, AOC-in-C, Training Command, for a high-level interaction attended by Branch Heads and key functionaries of the headquarters.

The meeting focused heavily on the synergy between military discipline and athletic excellence, highlighting how sports serve as a vital tool for fostering camaraderie and professional growth.

A central theme of the discussion was the enhancement of the existing cricketing infrastructure at the HQTC cricket ground. Under the framework of the current Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between HQTC and the KSCA, both parties shared a vision to upgrade the facilities to a standard capable of hosting first-class cricket matches.
