Red Fort Bomb Blast: NIA Conducts Multi-District Raids Across Jammu and Kashmir

NEW DELHI, March 23, 2026 — Advancing its investigation into the devastating 2025 Delhi Red Fort area bomb blast, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out extensive searches across multiple locations in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.

Targeted operations were conducted at nine sites spanning the districts of Srinagar, Baramulla, Jammu, Kulgam, Ganderbal, and Handwara. During the raids, federal agents seized several digital devices, which have been transitioned to forensic labs for detailed analysis.

These searches are part of the ongoing probe under case RC-21/2025/NIA/DLI, aimed at dismantling the support network behind the terror attack that shook the national capital on November 10 last year.

To date, the NIA has arrested 11 individuals for their roles in the lethal explosion, which resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries. Investigative findings have identified the mastermind as Umer Un Nabi, who was killed in the blast he orchestrated.

The agency revealed that Umer had meticulously coordinated the conspiracy with the currently detained co-accused and other associates.

The NIA remains committed to unravelling the broader conspiracy and identifying any remaining operatives involved in the plot to destabilize the country through acts of terror.
