Indian Navy Strengthens Indo-Pacific Ties During Exercise Kakadu 2026 in Australia

DARWIN, AUSTRALIA, March 22, 2026 — Marking a significant milestone in regional maritime diplomacy, the Indian Navy’s frontline stealth frigate, INS Nilgiri, has successfully commenced Sea Phase I of Exercise Kakadu 2026 in the Western Pacific waters.

As part of her extended overseas deployment, the vessel is participating in one of the region’s most comprehensive multilateral naval drills, hosted by the Royal Australian Navy.
