Eid-ul-Fitr 2026: Kishtwar Celebrates with Religious Fervor as District Administration Ensures Peaceful Festivities
KISHTWAR, March 21, 2026 — The district of Kishtwar was immersed in a spirit of gaiety and religious devotion today as thousands of Muslim brethren gathered to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr in an atmosphere of profound peace. Large congregations were witnessed across local mosques and Eidgahs, where devotees offered Namaz-e-Eid and prayed for the continued prosperity, development, and communal harmony of the Union Territory.
To ensure the day’s events unfolded smoothly, the civil and police administration, led by Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma and SSP Naresh Singh, implemented comprehensive security and essential service arrangements at the district, subdivision, and tehsil levels.
The Deputy Commissioner and SSP remained on the ground to personally supervise the proceedings, actively engaging with the community and participating in the religious observances.
