Suspicious “PIA” Printed Balloon Recovered in Samba’s Supwal Village​

SAMBA, March 21, 2026 — Panic gripped the residents of Supwal village in the Samba district after a suspicious aircraft-shaped balloon was spotted in a local field. The green and white balloon prominently featured the acronym “PIA” (Pakistan International Airlines) printed on its side.​Upon discovering the object, alert villagers immediately notified the local authorities.

A team from the Supwal Police arrived at the scene shortly after to secure the area. The police have taken the balloon into their custody and have initiated a preliminary investigation to determine its origin and whether it carries any ulterior significance.

Such sightings often trigger security concerns in border districts, though authorities are currently treating it as a recovered suspicious object.
