Eastern Air Command Air Warriors Conquer Kedarkantha Peak in High-Altitude Trekking Expedition

SHILLONG, March 21, 2026 — Demonstrating exceptional physical endurance and unwavering grit, a team of 22 Air Warriors from the Eastern Air Command (EAC) of the Indian Air Force successfully completed a challenging trekking expedition to Kedarkantha in Uttarakhand.

The expedition, which spanned from March 16 to March 21, 2026, saw personnel from various units under the EAC transition from the precision of the runway to the rugged heights of the Himalayan ridges.

The journey to the 12,500-foot summit served as a testament to the steadfast determination and peak fitness levels maintained by the force.

By navigating the demanding terrain of the Garhwal Himalayas, the team not only showcased their operational readiness in diverse environments but also fostered a spirit of camaraderie and adventure.
