J&K Deputy CM Surinder Choudhary Greets Citizens on Eid-ul-Fitr and Nauroz
JAMMU, MARCH 20, 2026: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary extended his warmest greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir today as the region prepares to celebrate the dual auspicious occasions of Eid-ul-Fitr and Nauroz.
Highlighting the rich cultural tapestry of the Union Territory, the Deputy Chief Minister remarked that both festivals carry immense religious significance and serve as a reflection of the state’s enduring composite heritage.
He noted that while Eid-ul-Fitr marks the conclusion of the holy month of Ramzan—symbolizing the virtues of compassion, gratitude, and generosity—the festival of Nauroz, falling on March 21, joyfully heralds the arrival of spring with great religious and cultural fervor.

He urged the public to use these sacred celebrations to further strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and peaceful coexistence that define the region.
