Indian Army’s Panchshul Gunners Empower Students of Asha School Bareilly with Financial Literacy and Life Skills

BAREILLY, March 20, 2026 – Moving beyond traditional classroom boundaries to foster independence in young minds, the Panchshul Gunners recently organized a transformative field visit for the students of Asha School, Bareilly, to a local ICICI Bank branch.

This initiative was designed to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and real-world application, providing these “young warriors” with hands-on experience in modern banking operations.

During the interactive session, students were guided through the practicalities of financial management, including identifying various service counters and correctly filling out deposit and withdrawal slips.

This immersive exposure was aimed at demystifying the banking process and building the students’ confidence in navigating public institutions independently.

The visit focused heavily on future readiness and financial awareness, with bank staff and Army personnel explaining how students can transition into managing their own bank accounts upon reaching the age of 18.

By facilitating direct interaction with professional staff, the Panchshul Gunners ensured that the students walked away with more than just knowledge—they gained a sense of self-belief and the realization that they are capable of handling their own affairs.

This outreach program underscores the Indian Army’s broader commitment to social empowerment and community building, proving that true strength lies in providing every child with the opportunity to lead a self-reliant life.
