Southern Command Chief Reviews Operational Readiness and Tech Integration at White Tiger Division

JABALPUR, March 20, 2026 — In a significant move to assess the Indian Army’s modernization trajectory, Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, visited the White Tiger Division today.

During the visit, the Army Commander was comprehensively briefed on the formation’s operational preparedness and its rapid transition toward becoming a future-ready force.

The discussions centered on the integration of modern warfighting capabilities and ongoing technology absorption initiatives designed to maintain a lethal edge in the evolving security landscape.

The briefing highlighted the division’s shift toward network-centric operations, fueled by the induction of New Generation Equipment (NGE) and the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation.

A key focus of the presentation was the formation’s proficiency in Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and counter-UAS environments, alongside indigenous innovations that align with the national push for Atmanirbharta (self-reliance).

These advancements, coupled with enhanced tri-service jointness and revised organizational structures, underscore the division’s commitment to the Indian Army’s “Decade of Transformation.”Concluding his visit, Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth lauded the White Tiger Division for its proactive drive toward tech infusion and organizational innovation.

He emphasized that sustained capability enhancement is vital for staying ahead of the changing character of modern warfare.

The Army Commander exhorted all ranks to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and remain adaptive, urging them to continue striving for operational excellence across the full spectrum of conflict to ensure national sovereignty.
