NIELIT Jammu Hosts Mega Job Fair Under MeitY Digital J&K Project to Boost Tech Employment

JAMMU, March 19, 2026 — Advancing the vision of digital empowerment and inclusive growth, the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) Jammu organized a high-impact Mega Job Fair at the Convention Centre on Wednesday.

Conducted under the Digital J&K Project and sponsored by the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), the event successfully bridged the gap between industry needs and the regional talent pool.

More than 20 reputed companies from the IT services, electronics manufacturing, and allied sectors participated, offering over 500 vacancies across specialized technical and marketing roles to skilled youth, graduates, and diploma holders from across the Union Territory.

During the fair, Rajneesh Raina, Joint Director and Officer Incharge of NIELIT Jammu, emphasized the critical role such initiatives play in aligning youth skills with modern market requirements. The event, coordinated by Sarita Kaur, saw an enthusiastic response from both corporate recruiters and job seekers, highlighting a growing trust in the region’s technical ecosystem.

Furthermore, placement and counseling officials, including Kanchan Koul and Gopal Sharan, noted that the fair ensured a transparent, merit-based recruitment process while strengthening industry-academia collaboration.

By providing structured career guidance alongside direct placement opportunities, NIELIT Jammu has reaffirmed its commitment to building a robust skill infrastructure that supports India’s broader digital transformation goals.
