Indian Navy and CISF Strengthen Security Synergy with Drone Awareness Session in Porbandar

PORBANDAR, GUJARAT — March 15, 2026 — In a proactive move to bolster coastal and aviation security, the Indian Navy conducted a specialized Drone Awareness Session for Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel at the Naval Air Enclave in Porbandar.

The joint initiative focused on the rapidly evolving landscape of unmanned aerial systems and the emerging security challenges they present.

During the briefing, Indian Navy officials provided in-depth technical insights into the functioning of various platforms, including multi-rotor, fixed-wing, and nano drones. Beyond technical specifications, the personnel were sensitized to potential drone-related threats and the critical importance of maintaining high-level counter-drone vigilance.

This collaborative training has significantly enhanced the operational preparedness of the CISF Unit ASG Porbandar, ensuring they are better equipped to identify and mitigate aerial risks in a sensitive maritime and industrial corridor.
