JAMMU, MARCH 14, 2026 — District Magistrate Jammu, Rakesh Minhas, chaired a high-level meeting today with LPG gas distributors and Oil Marketing Companies to enforce strict adherence to fuel supply protocols.

Joined by Additional District Magistrates Vidhu Shekhar and Ansuya Jamwal, along with Additional District Development Commissioner Sher Singh, the DM issued a categorical directive for all distributors to follow established supply schedules and the latest government circulars.

The administration’s primary focus is to eliminate unfair practices and ensure that every consumer receives their supply in a transparent manner without any preferential treatment.

During the meeting, the District Magistrate took a firm stance against the formation of unnecessary queues outside distributorship premises, labeling such occurrences as avoidable sources of public distress.

To reinforce these directives, he announced the formation of special monitoring teams tasked with conducting on-site inspections and cross-verifying stock levels at various outlets across the district.

These teams will provide real-time oversight to ensure that no hoarding or supply disruptions occur, especially during periods of high demand. The DM warned that any detected irregularities or deviations from the prescribed guidelines would result in immediate and severe legal consequences.

By holding erring distributors accountable under the applicable provisions of the law, the Jammu administration aims to streamline the essential commodity supply chain and safeguard the interests of the general public. This move is part of a broader effort to modernize distribution systems and maintain order within the district’s energy sector.
