Hunt Them Down: LG Manoj Sinha Issues Stern Warning to Peace Disruptors in Jammu
JAMMU, MARCH 12: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha presided over the closing ceremony of the 2nd All India Police Kabaddi Cluster (Men & Women) 2025-26 at MA Stadium, where he paid a stirring tribute to the security forces and issued a stern warning to elements threatening regional stability.
Addressing a gathering of athletes and security personnel, the Lieutenant Governor emphasized that the prevailing peace in Jammu and Kashmir was earned through the immense sacrifices of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Indian Army, and the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).
He remarked that while thousands of bravehearts gave their lives to protect the people, the administration remains committed to ensuring their sacrifice endures.
In a direct message to those attempting to disrupt this harmony, he warned that they would find no place to hide and would be “hunted down from the deepest depths.”Beyond the security narrative, the Lieutenant Governor highlighted the transformative power of sports in bridging social, geographic, and rank-based divides.
He noted that the sports ground fosters a shared humanity where only courage and resolve matter, serving as a vital classroom for shaping the character of the younger generation.
Commending the Jammu and Kashmir Police for their Civic Action Programme, he described the force as an integral part of the community that acts as a guide and mentor to the youth.
He urged the young citizens of the Union Territory to seize the “extraordinary potential” of the region, dream big, and maintain a healthy foundation by staying vigilant against the menace of narcotics.
The ceremony also served as a platform to celebrate athletic excellence across multiple disciplines, including Kabaddi, Gymnastics, Fencing, and Kho-Kho. The Lieutenant Governor felicitated sportspersons from various State Police Forces and CAPFs, noting that their determination reflects the core values of policing.
In a special moment of pride for the region, he also honored the Jammu and Kashmir cricket team for clinching their maiden Ranji Trophy title, calling it a landmark triumph. The event, which included the release of an e-souvenir, was attended by Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat, Special DG S.J.M Gillani, and other senior officials from the police and civil administration.
