The meeting, which saw participation from top brass including the IG BSF, Additional Commissioner SB Srinagar, and senior officers from the CRPF, Army’s 15 Corps, and various wings of the J&K Police, focused primarily on pre-emptive measures for Shab-e-Barat, Navratra, Eid-ul-Fitr, and Nauroz.

Emphasizing the dual challenge of safeguarding public security while maintaining law and order, the IGP issued strict directives for robust crowd management at major religious sites, where large gatherings are anticipated.

To ensure a peaceful festive season, IGP Birdi instructed district SSsP and range DIsG to enhance field vigilance and conduct random security checks at sensitive locations throughout the Kashmir Valley.

The strategy involves a multi-layered approach: deploying personnel at strategic entry and exit points, increasing night patrols, and maintaining close coordination with local community leaders to facilitate seamless event execution.

The session concluded with a unified resolve among the security agencies to maintain the highest level of preparedness, ensuring that all upcoming religious and cultural observances are conducted smoothly and without any security lapses.
