SSP Reasi Reviews Security Preparedness and Public Grievances in Remote Gulabgarh-Mahore

GULABGARH, REASI | March 10, 2026 — In a comprehensive move to fortify the security grid in high-altitude and terrain-sensitive zones, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Reasi, Paramvir Singh-JKPS, conducted an extensive operational visit to the far-flung Gulabgarh area of Mahore.

Accompanied by Addl. SP Reasi Iftkhar Ahmed, SDPO Mahore Parul Bhardwaj, and Dy.SP PC Mahore-Chassana Azer Ali Shah, the SSP assessed the prevailing security scenario and emphasized the need for heightened vigilance.

During the visit, the SSP held a public interaction meeting with local residents and religious scholars, patiently addressing their grievances and reaffirming that the police remain a steadfast partner in their safety.

He underscored that strong police-public cooperation is the backbone of regional peace and encouraged citizens to share timely information regarding any suspicious activities.

Further strengthening the grassroots security network, SSP Reasi met with Village Defence Guards (VDGs) in the presence of Indian Army officials to streamline coordination and area domination strategies.

The visit also included a rigorous inspection of police infrastructure, where the SSP reviewed the status of arms, ammunition, and essential equipment to ensure the force remains battle-ready.

Given the challenging topography, he directed the immediate implementation of frequent long-range patrols (LRPs), mock drills, and Cordon and Search Operations (CASO).

Special instructions were issued to maintain strict surveillance on Over-Ground Workers (OGWs) and to monitor migratory movements influenced by seasonal weather changes, ensuring that the District Police Reasi continues to provide a secure environment for all residents in the border-adjacent district.
