Jammu Police Concludes Civic Action Programme Volleyball Tournament in Bishnah

BISHNAH, JAMMU | March 10, 2026 — The high-energy Volleyball Tournament organized by the Jammu Police under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2025-26 reached a successful finale today at the Government Degree College Ground in Bishnah.

The competition featured eight competitive teams from the Bishnah, Arnia, R.S. Pura, and Miran Sahib areas, drawing a massive crowd of local supporters. In a thrilling championship match, Rajput Warriors Mian Chak emerged as the victors, defeating the Shahpur Warriors with a 2-1 set score to claim the title.

The closing ceremony was headlined by Chief Guest MLA Bishnah, Dr. Rajiv Bhagat, and Guest of Honor, Ex-MLA Ashwani Kumar, alongside senior police officials including SP Headquarters Jammu, Irshad Hussain Rather-JKPS, SDPO R.S. Pura, Gurmeet Singh-JKPS and SHO Bishnah Rakesh Jamwal

During the presentation ceremony, the winners and runners-up were honored with cash prizes, trophies, and essential sports kits.

Addressing the gathering, SP Irshad Hussain Rather emphasized that the Jammu & Kashmir Police remains deeply committed to engaging the youth through sports as a proactive measure to steer them away from drug abuse and other social evils.

The initiative received widespread praise from the local community and the youth of the border belt, who lauded the police department’s efforts in promoting a healthy, disciplined lifestyle and fostering a positive environment in the region.
