AGRIM 2.0 Defence Seminar: Southern Command Drives Indigenous Innovation in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar
CHHATRAPATI SAMBHAJI NAGAR, March 10, 2026 — The Agnibaaz Division of the Indian Army’s Southern Command successfully conducted AGRIM 2.0, a high-level defense seminar aimed at bridging the gap between cutting-edge technology and battlefield requirements.
Held in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, the event served as a collaborative platform for industry leaders, innovative start-ups, and military professionals to accelerate the development of indigenous defense solutions.
The seminar focused on the “JAI” mantra—Jointness, Aatmanirbharta (Self-reliance), and Innovation—reflecting the Indian Army’s strategic shift toward a technology-driven, “Future Ready” force. The deliberations centered on niche technologies, including reverse engineering and seamless industry integration to meet emerging combat needs.
A major highlight of the event was the live demonstration of advanced aerial capabilities, featuring ‘Swarm in a Box’ multi-drone management systems, First-Person View (FPV) drones, and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).
These displays, coupled with evolving Counter-UAS capabilities, underscored the growing momentum of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
By fostering a robust ecosystem for domestic defense production, AGRIM 2.0 has further strengthened the military’s commitment to self-reliance in modern warfare.
