JKNC Representatives Visit Iranian Embassy to Express Sympathies Following Leader’s Passing

NEW DELHI, March 9, 2026 — A delegation of Members of Parliament from the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), including Chowdry Mohammad Ramzan, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo, and Gurwinder Singh Oberoi, visited the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in New Delhi on Monday to sign the official condolence book following the loss of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Meeting with the Iranian Ambassador, Dr. Mohammad Fathali, the representatives shared messages of sympathy on behalf of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, as well as from Party President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.

The delegation expressed deep concern regarding the recent military actions involving the United States and Israel, describing them as a significant breach of international norms that jeopardizes regional peace.

The visit concluded with a collective prayer for the departed soul and a hope for the restoration of calm and stability across the region.
