JPDCL Announces Scheduled Power Shutdowns Across Jammu Districts for Maintenance

JAMMU, MARCH 07, 2026 — The Chief Engineer (Distribution) of the Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has issued a formal notification regarding planned power outages scheduled for various parts of the Jammu division to facilitate essential maintenance and system upgrades.

According to the department, the electricity supply to Plaera, Loran, Loyal Bella, Arai, and surrounding areas will be temporarily suspended on March 8, 2026, from 08:00 AM to 02:00 PM. Similarly, residents in Bhatyas, Gandoh, Changa, and adjoining localities should prepare for power interruptions on both March 8 and March 10, during the same morning-to-afternoon window.

Further maintenance work will affect the supply to Mansar, Battal, Manwal, Khoon, Pardal, Thial, and Majalta on March 10, with a scheduled shutdown from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM. On the same day, urban areas including Rajinder Nagar, Paloura, EWS Colony, Roop Nagar, the PHE Feeder, Lower Muthi, and JDA Flats will experience a power cut from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM.

The JPDCL has advised consumers to take note of these timings to minimize inconvenience and emphasized that these shutdowns are necessary to ensure a more reliable and stable power infrastructure for the region.
