KPDCL Power Shutdown Alert: Scheduled Electricity Cuts in Baramulla, Pahalgam, and Pulwama
SRINAGAR, March 06, 2026 — The Chief Engineer of Distribution at the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across various districts to facilitate essential maintenance and line works.
In North Kashmir, the 33 KV Baramulla-1st Kanlibagh Tapline will be under shutdown on March 7, 2026, from 08:00 AM to 01:00 PM, affecting electricity supply to GMC Baramulla, Kanlibagh, Microwave, Sangri, and surrounding localities.
Furthermore, residents in the Pahalgam area should prepare for outages on March 9 and 11, 2026, as the 33 KV Mattan-Pahalgam line will be powered down from 08:00 AM to 02:00 PM, impacting Pahalgam, Batkoot, Aishmuqam, and Saller.
In South Kashmir, a similar shutdown of the 33 KV Pampore-Pulwama line is scheduled for March 10 and 12, 2026, between 08:00 AM and 12:00 Noon, which will disrupt supply to Kakapora, Newa, Pahoo, Nehama, Zadoora, Gudoora, and Parigam.
