LG Manoj Sinha Reviews Kashmir Law and Order: High-Level Security Meet at PCR Srinagar
SRINAGAR, March 03, 2026 — Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha chaired a high-level security meeting at the Police Control Room (PCR) Kashmir on Tuesday to conduct a comprehensive review of the prevailing law and order situation in the region.
The session brought together the top brass of the Jammu and Kashmir Police and civil administration, including DGP Nalin Prabhat, Special DG S.J.M Gillani, and several Additional Director Generals of Police.
During the deliberations, the Lieutenant Governor issued strict directives to security forces and administrative officers to maintain a state of heightened alert. He emphasized the implementation of all necessary measures required to ensure public peace and tranquility across the Valley, reinforcing the government’s commitment to stability.
Beyond operational directives, the Lieutenant Governor extended a formal appeal to the public and community leaders, urging them to actively uphold communal harmony and foster an atmosphere of goodwill.
Taking to his official X handle, LG Sinha highlighted that preserving peace and sustaining societal progress is a “shared responsibility” that falls upon every citizen.
The meeting, which included key figures such as IGP Kashmir V.K. Birdi and Divisional Commissioner Anshul Garg, underscores a coordinated effort between security agencies and civil departments to preemptively manage the regional security landscape and ensure the safety of all residents.
