Assam Rifles Honors Fallen Heroes: Wreath-Laying Ceremony Held in Dimapur, Nagaland
DIMAPUR, February 27, 2026 — In a poignant tribute to bravery and selflessness, the Assam Rifles organized a formal wreath-laying ceremony in Dimapur to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of two of its valiant soldiers.

Rifleman Dani Chand lost his life during a fierce encounter near the South Gate on Kohima Road while serving as part of a Road Opening Party (ROP), a vital task ensuring safe passage for commuters and convoys.
Similarly, Rifleman Bharat Mohan Kukreti made the ultimate sacrifice during a high-stakes search operation in New Anutongre Village.
