Indian Army Medical Units Honored: HQ Uttar Bharat Clinics Sweep Central Command Awards
LUCKNOW, February 26, 2026 — Excellence in military medicine took center stage at the prestigious Central Command Investiture Ceremony, where the medical units under the Headquarters Uttar Bharat Area of Responsibility (AOR) were recognized for their outstanding service and operational brilliance.
Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, presented the awards, celebrating the “Healers in Uniform” who balance clinical mastery with the rigors of combat readiness. The ceremony highlighted the critical role these units play in maintaining the health and morale of the Indian Armed Forces, reinforcing their reputation as warriors in service.
The accolades were led by Military Hospital (MH) Meerut, which was awarded the Surya Trophy as the Runner-up for the Best Zonal Hospital, a testament to its high standards of patient care and compassionate service.
In the field category, 314 Field Hospital secured the top honors as the Best Field Hospital, while 2136 Field Hospital followed closely as the Runner-up.
These awards reflect a deep-seated commitment to mission-first dedication, proving that whether in a stationary facility or a high-pressure field environment, the medical corps remains a pillar of strength for the nation.
