Hyderabad Airport K9 Retirement: CISF Honors Four Heroic Security Dogs
HYDERABAD, FEB 26 :- In a moving tribute to years of unwavering vigilance, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) unit at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport recently hosted a heartfelt retirement ceremony for four of its most dedicated four-legged officers.
The K9 heroes—Dolly and Snoopy (Labradors), Binny (Cocker Spaniel), and Sweety (German Shepherd)—were officially decommissioned following years of meritorious service in aviation security.
These canine veterans have been instrumental in safeguarding the airport premises, working in tandem with CISF personnel to ensure passenger safety through their exceptional detection instincts and loyalty.
The ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials, including Manjit Singh (Sr. Commandant) and Rakesh Sharma (GMR Security), who joined fellow officers to express deep gratitude for the dogs’ contributions to national security.
The event highlighted the unique bond between the handlers and their K9 partners, celebrating a career defined by bravery and discipline.
