Delhi Bomb Blast Case: NIA Arrests Two More Terror Operatives; Total Apprehensions Reach 11
NEW DELHI, February 25, 2026 — The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has made a significant breakthrough in the 2025 Delhi Red Fort area bomb blast case by apprehending two additional terror operatives. The suspects, identified as Zameer Ahmad Ahangar of Ganderbal and Tufail Ahmad Bhat of Srinagar, were formally arrested for their critical role in the conspiracy that resulted in 11 fatalities and numerous injuries on November 10, 2025.
According to the NIA’s latest findings, the duo served as active Over Ground Workers (OGWs) for the Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGH) terror outfit. Their specific contribution to the deadly act involved supplying the weaponry used by the prime accused, Umer Un Nabi, who also perished in the explosion.
The investigation (RC-21/2025/NIA/DLI) has revealed a complex web of logistical support spanning multiple states. Working in close coordination with the Jammu & Kashmir and Haryana Police, the NIA discovered that Zameer and Tufail were not only involved in the Delhi blast but were also part of a broader network engaged in stockpiling arms and ammunition intended for use against the Indian State.
These arrests bring the total number of individuals in custody to 11. Previously, nine other conspirators—including Muzammil Ganai, Shaheen Saeed, and Mufti Irfan—were arrested for providing shelter and logistical aid.
The NIA remains focused on unearthing every link in this trans-border terror conspiracy to ensure all perpetrators face justice.
