Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth Reviews Specialized CISF Airport Security Training at Southern Command’s Military–Civil Fusion Node
BHOPAL, February 25, 2026 — Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, visited the Military–Civil Fusion Node in Bhopal to review a specialized two-week training capsule for 50 personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
This high-level training initiative, focused on airport security and contingency response, represents a significant step in deepening the synergy between military and civil security forces. Under the guidance of specialist instructors from the Para (Special Forces) and the National Security Guard (NSG), the CISF trainees are undergoing rigorous instruction in advanced tactics, Close Quarter Battle (CQB) drills, and crisis response skills designed to counter emerging global threats to critical infrastructure.
During the visit, the Army Commander witnessed a live demonstration of refined Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), where he lauded both the elite instructors and the trainees for their exceptional professionalism and seamless “jointness.” The training program is set to culminate in a high-intensity validation exercise at Bhopal Airport, which will serve to test the coordinated and tech-enabled response of this unified national security architecture.
By integrating the battlefield expertise of the Special Forces with the civil aviation security mandates of the CISF, the initiative reaffirms a strong national resolve to safeguard the country’s most vital assets through a highly responsive and integrated defense strategy.
