SSP Reasi Flags Off ‘Bharat Darshan’ Educational Tour for 88 Students from Remote Areas

REASI, February 24, 2026 — In a major push toward youth empowerment under the Civic Action Programme (CAP), Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Reasi, Sh. Paramvir Singh-JKPS, officially flagged off a week-long Bharat Darshan Tour for 88 students today.

The contingent, comprising youth from the most far-flung and remote regions of the Reasi district, departed from the District Police Lines accompanied by five specialized caretakers, including Inspr. Sukhbir Singh and PSI Padmini.

This fully sponsored initiative by the Jammu & Kashmir Police aims to provide students with a comprehensive look at India’s rich cultural heritage and modern development through guided visits to New Delhi and Chennai.

During the flag-off ceremony, which was attended by senior officers including Addl. SP Hqrs Iftkhar Ahmed and DySP Hqrs Vishal Singh Jamwal, SSP Paramvir Singh interacted closely with the participants. He urged the students to embrace this unique opportunity to broaden their horizons and internalize values of national unity and peace.

The itinerary is designed to bolster self-confidence by exposing the youth to historical monuments, premier educational institutions, and major industrial units across the country. To ensure a comfortable and uniform experience, each student was provided with a complete tour kit, including tracksuits, footwear, and travel gear.

The “Bharat Darshan” program has been met with widespread appreciation from local parents and the student community, who lauded the J&K Police for their commitment to positively channelizing the energy of the youth.

By covering all logistics—including air travel, boarding, and AC transportation—the department continues to bridge the gap between rural communities and the national mainstream.

This educational exposure is viewed as a vital step in personality development and career guidance for students who might otherwise lack access to such extensive travel experiences.
