Top J&K Police Officials Commend SOG Troops After Neutralizing Jaish-e-Mohammed Terrorists in Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, February 24, 2026 — Following a high-stakes counter-terrorism mission in the Chatroo area, senior officials of the Jammu and Kashmir Police met with Special Operations Group (SOG) troops to personally commend their bravery and tactical success.

IGP Jammu Zone, Bhim Sen Tuti-IPS, accompanied by DIG DKR Range, Shridhar Patil-IPS, and SSP Kishtwar, Naresh Singh-JKPS, lauded the personnel for the successful execution of Operation Trashi-I.

The operation resulted in a decisive blow to terror networks with the neutralization of three Pakistan-sponsored Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists, including the high-profile commander Saifullah and two of his close associates.

During the visit, the leadership highlighted the unwavering commitment and “Nation First” spirit of the J&K Police, describing the recent success as a testament to their ongoing saga of sacrifice and service.

By dismantling this specific terror cell, the security forces have significantly disrupted the operational capabilities of Jaish-e-Mohammed in the region.

The officials emphasized that the synergy between the SOG, the White Knight Corps, and the CRPF remains the backbone of peace-building efforts in the district, ensuring a secure environment for the local population while honoring the courage of those on the front lines.
