Kishtwar Encounter Update: Third Terrorist Neutralized in Ongoing Operation TRASHI-I

KISHTWAR, February 22, 2026 — In a major development during the ongoing anti-terror offensive in the Kishtwar region, security forces have successfully neutralized a third terrorist under Operation TRASHI-I.

The operation, led by the troops of CIF (Delta) White Knight Corps in seamless coordination with the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the CRPF, remains focused on flushing out remaining threats in the area.

Following the intense engagement, the remains of the third individual and a cache of weapons were recovered from the site.The Indian Army has reaffirmed its stance that there will be “no space and no sanctuary” for those attempting to undermine regional stability.

This latest elimination follows the earlier neutralization of two terrorists in the same sector, showcasing the persistence of the joint task force.

Security operations are still active in the rugged terrain as forces continue their pursuit to ensure the complete dismantling of terror elements.
