Indian Army Subedar Katre Netram Hemraj Honored for Supreme Sacrifice in Himachal Pradesh

HIMACHAL PRADESH FEB 22 – In a poignant tribute to unwavering bravery, the Indian Army’s Uttar Bharat Command has honored Subedar Katre Netram Hemraj, who laid down his life in the line of duty.

The soldier made the supreme sacrifice on February 19, 2026, while navigating the high-altitude, treacherous terrain of the Himachal Pradesh border during an operational deployment.

Facing some of the most perilous roads and unforgiving mountain environments in the country, Subedar Hemraj remained steadfast in his commitment to national security until his final moments, embodying the highest standards of the Indian Armed Forces.

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) and all ranks of the Uttar Bharat Command expressed their deepest reverence and solemn respect for the fallen soldier, noting that his dedication and selfless service represent the finest traditions of the military.
